Urban Dog Barkery was started in the Houston area where they sold dog treats. A very nice lady by the name of Theresa started this company when she started received phone calls asking her what she was going to do about peoples sick dogs. Below is Thereas very own statement on why she started her business.

 "I was a travel agent in 2007 when the pet food crisis hit (dogs dying from food/treats from China). I was working on the west coast and started getting phone calls at 4am asking me what I was going to do about their sick dog? Being totally confused, I started thinking I needed to check into this.  After 750 phone calls of the same nature, I decided I needed to get involved in the industry.  I moved back to Houston, TX and opened Urban Dog"

Now this is the type of person I want to buy products from for my dog. She knew nothing of this industry but seen there was an out cry for help so she stepped up to the plate. Urban Dog Bakery doesnt only sell treats they have developed a line of natural wipes, sprays and shampoos under the Urban Dog Naturals line.  That website will be up and active by the end of September.
